1. This is not financial advice
NorriWire content is general information and educational material — not personalised investment, financial, or tax advice.
We are not licensed financial advisers or tax advisers. We don’t know your financial situation, investment goals, risk tolerance, or tax position. Before any investment in cryptocurrencies or any other asset:
- Familiarise yourself with the risks, alone or with a licensed financial adviser
- Verify that the investment is suitable for your situation
- Understand that you can lose all of the money invested
- Consult a tax specialist about how the investment affects your taxes
Cryptocurrency values can fluctuate substantially. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
2. Affiliate partnerships
2.1. How we earn
NorriWire’s monetisation is built on affiliate partnerships with selected crypto exchanges, cards, hardware-wallet vendors, and tax tools. This means:
- If you click a partner link on our site and sign up, NorriWire may receive a commission from the provider
- This commission is at no extra cost to you
- The commission is usually a fixed amount per registration or a percentage of your fees during the first months
2.2. Affiliate partnerships do not influence our ratings
We hold a strict “editorial / commercial separation” principle:
- We also review platforms with which we have no affiliate deal — and in some categories they receive higher ratings than partners
- We don’t accept partner pressure to suppress critical reviews or negative ratings — several partners have received them
- Commission size is not factored into review scores or list ordering
- A review’s overall rating is determined by objectively verifiable criteria (fees, security, MiCA status, user experience) — partnership status is not a criterion
2.3. Disclosure standard
On every page that contains an affiliate link we clearly mark that the content includes affiliate links. Each review carries a note in its footer about whether NorriWire holds an affiliate agreement with the reviewed entity.
Affiliate links carry the rel="nofollow sponsored" HTML attributes per Google and FTC guidance.
3. Editorial methodology
3.1. How reviews are produced
Each review is produced through the following process:
- Data gathering: fees and features are verified against the provider’s official website and licensing registries (FIN-FSA, FI; Finansinspektionen, SE; Finanstilsynet, NO; Finanstilsynet, DK; Latvijas Banka, LV; Finantsinspektsioon, EE; Lietuvos Bankas, LT)
- Hands-on verification (where possible): we sign up to the platform ourselves, complete KYC, run test transactions, and verify the UX
- Local-context assessment: SEPA support, BankID, language availability, integrations with local tax tools (Divly, Koinly, Kryptosekken)
- Comparison: against regional competitors (Coinmotion, Kvarn X, Northcrypto, Firi) and global ones (Kraken, Bitstamp, Coinbase)
- Editorial review: the review draft passes at least a two-stage edit (author → second editor)
- Fact-checking: all specific amounts, dates, and licence numbers are verified against official sources
3.2. Rating scale
We use a 5-point scale with 0.5-point steps. Points carry the following meaning:
- 5.0 — Outstanding: best in category, with no significant gaps
- 4.0–4.5 — Very good: recommended, with minor caveats
- 3.0–3.5 — Acceptable: suitable for some situations, not for others
- 2.0–2.5 — Weak: with significant gaps; alternatives are better
- 0.0–1.5 — Not recommended: risky or with material flaws
3.3. Update policy
Reviews are revisited when:
- Fees or service offerings change
- The provider gains (or loses) a MiCA licence
- A security incident occurs
- Country availability changes
- 6 months have passed since the last review (routine recheck)
Each review’s footer carries the date of the last update.
3.4. Errors and corrections
We do not hide errors. When a material error is identified in a review, we:
- Correct the fact immediately
- Add a correction note in the review’s footer
- Reflect on the correction — why it happened and how we’ll prevent recurrence
If you spot an error, send a note to [email protected] with a reference to the specific review and the details of the error. We respond within 5 business days.
4. AI assistance disclosure
We use AI tools (Claude, GPT) as supporting tools for drafting, organising facts, and language editing. However:
- All AI-generated text is checked and edited by a human editor before publication
- AI does not certify facts — we verify them ourselves against official sources
- In reviews where AI played a substantive role, we clearly say so in the review’s footer (“AI disclosure”)
5. MiCA and regulation
NorriWire (Grab Solutions SIA) is not a MiCA-licensed CASP. We don’t provide crypto services — we don’t custody, exchange, or trade cryptocurrencies. So MiCA CASP licensing requirements don’t apply to us directly.
Our activity — as a crypto comparison platform — is subject to:
- Latvian Advertising Law (crypto-service advertising must be labelled; we don’t place ads — all our ratings can be viewed as editorial content, and affiliate links are disclosed)
- Latvian Consumer Protection Law (fair, non-misleading information)
- Latvian Personal Data Processing Law and GDPR (personal-data protection — see the privacy policy)
- The MiCA preamble guidelines on crypto advertising — even though we don’t advertise, we follow the same principles (fair information, risk disclosure)
6. Third-party brands
All service names (Coinmotion, Kvarn X, Northcrypto, Bitstamp, Kraken, etc.), logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their mention in NorriWire content does not imply endorsement by the brand owner.
